Ellie Jane Goulding is a British woman born on December 30, 1986. Tracey Goulding Summers is her mother. Her father Arthur Goulding comes from a funeral home family. Goulding's older sister Isabel, and second sister Jordan are all children. Alex is her brother. Alex, Goulding's brother, is a bass player. He is also an Hereford musician. In her early years, his mother was encouraging her to pursue a career in the instrument. Her first instrument was the clarinet when she turned nine. In her 14th year, she started writing songs.
